We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing care and assistance to individuals in need, including seniors and those with specific health conditions such as dementia. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised support and care.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients. Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary. Monitor and record client progress, reporting any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel. Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in community events. Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by maintaining hygiene standards. Administer first aid when required and respond effectively to emergencies. Drive clients to appointments or social outings as needed.

Skills

Experience in patient care, particularly in senior care settings or nursing homes is highly desirable. Knowledge of dementia care practices is an advantage. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. A caring nature with a genuine desire to help others. First aid certification is beneficial but not mandatory; training may be provided. Previous experience in childcare can be advantageous, showcasing versatility in care provision.
