About The Role
We are currently recruiting for a BANK SUPPORT WORKER to work with a charming client who has a spinal cord injury living in their own home. Our client is a keen football fan, and animal lover (has a small, calm dog) who enjoys listening to music and watching game shows.
This could be the ideal role for anyone with similar interests. Although non-verbal, our client is excellent at communicating his needs and has a great sense of humour. Good communication & observation skills and patience are essential.
Our client has tracheostomy, is ventilated, has a catheter in situ and is PEG fed. Our client currently receives 2:1 care in the family home. Please apply if you are a calm natured, team player with a good personality who is willing to learn. Full training will be given, however some previous experience in the above would be preferred."
You will be working with our client on a 2-1 basis to build a professional, working relationship and supporting him with the clients activities of daily living, in social and leisure activities at home or in the community.

Hours
Days 7.30am to 7.30pm with waking nights 7.30pm to 7.30am
Pay Rates
17.00 per hour Monday to Sunday day shifts
18.00 per hour Monday to Sunday waking night shifts
12.21 per hour training rate
About You
Required
Female support workers only
Experience of working in a support role
. Excellent use of the English language, both written and spoken
Friendly, approachable and confident
Experience and ability to understand and deal with complex needs
Flexible in approach to meet the needs of the client
Must like dogs - Our client has a small dog
Desirable
Experience working with a spinal cord injury
Registered on the DBS update service
. Full UK Driving Licence
