Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals in various care settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and home health environments. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing personal care, support with daily activities, and companionship.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation Provide patient observation and monitoring to ensure safety and well-being Maintain cleanliness and organization of living spaces, including cooking and cleaning duties Implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of clients Administer medications as prescribed and assist with vital signs monitoring Support individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory care Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient handling and mobility assistance Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Skills

First aid and CPR certification is highly desirable Experience in group home settings or assisted living facilities is preferred Strong patient care skills with an emphasis on empathy and compassion Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility needs Familiarity with caregiving techniques for individuals with autism or other disabilities Experience in long-term care or hospice settings is a plus Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
