Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in

Barnsley S71/S73

. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need, particularly those with Cerebral palsy or other complex health conditions. This role requires a proactive approach to patient care, ensuring the well-being and comfort of those we serve.

Duties

Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.

Administer complex medication

in accordance with care plans and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.

Prepare and administer Enteral Feeding via PEG/PEJ

Assist clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary, while ensuring their safety and comfort. Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with challenging behaviours. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses, to implement care plans effectively.

Required pattern flexibilit:

Mon-Thur

-7am-7pm - Day shifts

- 8pm- 8am - Night shifts

Fri-Sun

7am-7pm - Day shifts

7pm-7am- Night Shifts

Qualifications

Previous experience

in a similar role within a nursing healthcare setting is Required.

Knowledge of complex care is highly desirable.

Ability to manage medication administration accurately and responsibly. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members. A caring attitude towards patients and a commitment to enhancing their well-being. Flexibility in working hours may be necessary to meet client needs.

Training is provided - Required to attend Sheffield
