Our Support Workers provide a person centred approach in providing quality support, which makes our service very flexible and adaptable to everyonexe2x80x99s needs.The role of a Support Worker is integral to the quality of support provision and can be rewarding and inspiring. You will support people to identify and work towards meaningful outcomes and to participate in their community and develop new and maintain existing relationships.You will be offering care and support to adults with learning Disabilities to ensure the running of their home, health and wellbeing. This will include Personal Care, medication, house work, cooking and most importantly maintaining and developing each personxe2x80x99s independent skills.Social support will be given to each person daily and weekly to ensure involvement and independence within their community and shopping tasks as well as offering new experiences.Support plans/ Risk Assessments in place to ensure continued accurate support.You will be required to liaise with medical professionals when required.You may be asked to work between other services that we provide care and support to across West Lothian.An enhanced Adult PVG is required for this role.This role will involve supportingOne individual that has some behaviours that are challenging at times but not violent e.g., Epilepsy, Mental Health and Dementia.Two individuals are wheelchair users but only one is physically disabled, the other uses Wheelchair for social outings.Shift Pattern:Ensure that you are able to travel to and from the service for every shift and make clear any issues prior to 2nd interview.Shifts are 8, 9,10,11am xe2x80x93 3pm, 3pm xe2x80x93 9:30pm Friday - SundayBenefits and Rewards
