We're currently recruiting two Support Workers to join our Short-Term Accommodation Service in Aylesbury.
The Impact You'll Have
Working as part of a supportive team, you'll help young people (aged 16-25) and adults living in our short-term accommodation to access services and develop the skills and confidence to move into sustainable, independent housing.
Your role will include:
Supporting clients to access housing options, benefits, and tenancy information
Helping people engage with employment, training, or volunteering opportunities
Connecting clients with local resources such as food banks, mental health, or substance misuse services
Supporting the development of essential life skills such as budgeting, paying bills, shopping, and meal planning
Encouraging clients to build positive networks within the community and, where possible, reconnect with family and friends
The Details
Contract:
Permanent, full-time
Hours:
12-hour shifts on a 4 days on / 4 days off rota (averaging 38.5 hours per week)
+ Shift pattern: 8:00am - 8:00pm
+ Includes weekends and bank holidays
Salary:
25,666 - 27,981 per annum (dependent on experience)

Interviews will take place across several days, starting Monday, 17 November
About You
Your professional background may include experience in one or more of the following areas:
Housing or homelessness support
Mental health or substance misuse services
Criminal justice or community support work
You'll also bring:
A good understanding of housing and benefits systems (training can be provided)
The ability to remain calm and adaptable when faced with challenges
Excellent communication skills and a person-centred, flexible approach
The ability to motivate and empower others
A genuine commitment to helping people and alignment with Connection Support's mission, vision, and values
