Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals within the Wyre Forest area. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through various support activities. You need to live with a 10 mile radius of Bewdley as you may be needed to cover emergencies and you must own and drive a car. Please do not apply if you need sponsorship as we are not in a position to support this.

Responsibilities

Assist client with daily living activities, including personal care and hygiene. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Administer medication as prescribed and maintain accurate records of medication administration. Engage in activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction. Maintain a clean and safe environment for the client, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Document client progress and report any changes in behaviour or condition to the appropriate personnel.

Experience

Previous experience in home care, nursing homes, or similar settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with patient care techniques, including first aid and medication administration. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
