Support Worker

Job Description

We are looking for a support worker to join our team working 36 hours per week on a rota basis which includes working weekends. You will be working in a residential care home supporting people aged 18-65 who have learning disabilities, challenging behaviours and other medical conditions. The position is 36 hours per week with the option to work overtime. Experience in this role is preferred with an NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care. The successful candidate will have an induction shadowing other staff and will complete a care induction and other mandatory training. An enhanced DBS is required which will be arranged by the employer. The role includes; personal care, assisting with medication, domestic tasks within the home, cleaning, completing laundry and ironing, assisting with preparation of meals, completing daily reports and other paperwork, attending staff meetings, supporting residents in the community, attending healthcare appointments and supporting with activities in the home and in the community which may include activities such as social activities, attending events and supporting residents to attend places of worship.
