Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate

Support Worker

to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality care and support for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, or physical disabilities within a supported living environment. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing independence, dignity, and quality of life for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver personal care and daily living support, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Encourage independence and promote overall well-being through person-centred care. Implement positive behaviour management strategies to support clients with complex needs. Assist with mobility, including safe use of hoists and manual handling techniques. Monitor, record, and report any changes in clients' health or behaviour. Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment in line with health and safety standards. Attend regular training to develop skills in first aid, medication, safeguarding, and manual handling. Support clients to attend appointments, activities, and community outings.

Requirements

Previous care experience preferred; training provided. Knowledge of learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, or mental health is an advantage. Ability to undertake physical tasks, including hoisting and mobility support. NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work toward it). Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team. Compassionate, patient, and motivated to make a positive impact.
