Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and in-home care environments. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide patient care and support in accordance with care plans tailored to individual needs. Monitor vital signs and observe patients for any changes in condition or behavior. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation, particularly for those with Alzheimer's or dementia. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties and ensuring hygiene standards are met. Assist clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and social workers to develop comprehensive care strategies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is a plus. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly valued. Strong patient observation skills to monitor changes in health status effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for client mobility assistance. Familiarity with memory care techniques and dementia support strategies is beneficial. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members. A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Pay: 12.21-19.68 per hour
