Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including group homes, assisted living facilities, and home health environments. This role involves supporting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their safety and well-being, and promoting their independence.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide patient care and support in accordance with care plans tailored to individual needs. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in clients' conditions, ensuring accurate patient observation. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation. Support individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and memory care needs. Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient handling when necessary. Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement effective care strategies and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Experience

Candidates should possess experience in one or more of the following areas:

Group home experience or assisted living settings. Home & community care experience, including direct support roles. Nursing home experience or long-term care experience. Familiarity with caregiving practices for individuals with disabilities or autism. Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques is preferred. Experience in patient monitoring and heavy lifting is beneficial. A background in social work or nursing may enhance your application. Pay: 12.21-19.68 per hour
