Support Worker

Full time - 37.5 hours

Location: Christchurch and the surrounding areas

Flexible shifts, 365 days a year (Incl. weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis)

Salary - 12.25 per hour (Rising to 13.25 per hour subject to skills assessment after 6 months)

The Role:

To support individuals to meet their goals and outcomes in health, wellbeing, and independence. Assist individuals with their needs where required, whilst maintaining accurate records. To work as part of a team as well as lone working within the community providing 1:1 support. Work with allocated individuals as their keyworker. Adapt communication skills and care approach; to meet the needs of the people we support in a way that promotes dignity and respect. Support individuals with everyday tasks and activities of their choosing. Support people with complex needs and who may present with behaviours that challenge.

What are we looking for?

Motivated, honest, and approachable individuals who are great at building and nurturing relationships. Ability to stay calm if challenges arise. Experience of providing high levels of care and support to those with learning disabilities, complex needs and behaviours that challenge. Confident when lone working. Aspirations to develop skills at support worker level and beyond! UK Driving Licence with access to car
