Job Summary

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times. Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required. Administer medication according to prescribed schedules. Engage in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Monitor and document clients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life. Implement behaviour management strategies as necessary. Assist with heavy lifting when required for client mobility or equipment handling. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.

Skills

Experience in assisted living or nursing home settings is highly desirable. Familiarity with caregiving techniques and first aid procedures. Ability to drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. Capability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and understanding. Competence in meal preparation tailored to dietary needs. A caring disposition with a genuine desire to help others.
