Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to provide essential care and assistance to individuals in need. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those requiring support due to age, illness, or disability. This position involves working closely with clients to ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting independence and dignity.

Duties

Must have a valid full UK driving licence plus own car. Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive nutritious meals. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being. Administer first aid as required and monitor clients' health conditions. Assist with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals. Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed. Document care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel. Engage clients in activities that promote physical and mental stimulation.

Experience

Previous experience in home care, assisted living, or senior care is preferred. Knowledge of dementia care practices is advantageous. Care Certificate and other care courses are desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
