We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support and care to individuals in an adult mental health residential home setting. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.

Duties

Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times. Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed. Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and monitor client health. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel. Implement behaviour management strategies for clients where needed. Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required (if .

Skills

Experience in assisted living, mental health, nursing home settings, or similar environments is preferred. Knowledge of patient care practices, including first aid and medication administration. Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach towards client needs. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and their families.
