Support Worker - Children & Young People (Domiciliary Care)


Location:

Staffordshire (various locations across the county)

Salary:

12.60 - 13.00 per hour, dependent on experience

Contract Type:

Full-time and part-time positions available

The Role:



We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced Support Workers to provide care to children and young people with a range of needs, including autism, epilepsy, learning disabilities, and complex health or behavioural challenges. You will work in clients' homes and the community, supporting them to live as independently as possible and achieve positive outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:




Deliver tailored care and support in line with individual care plans Assist with personal care, medication, and daily living tasks Support participation in community activities and social engagement Provide specialist support for autism, epilepsy, learning disabilities, and complex needs Promote independence, wellbeing, and safeguarding at all times Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with families and professionals

About You:




Must be a driver with access to your own car (essential) Experience supporting children and young people with additional needs (autism, epilepsy, learning disabilities, or complex needs) added advantage Must have Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust Must have Flexible approach to working hours and tasks Must be Empathetic, patient, and genuinely committed to delivering high-quality support Understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care principles Able to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to undertake specialist training as required

Essential Requirements:




Must hold a valid Full driving licence and have access to your own car (essential) Must have the right to work in the Post subject to satisfactory Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check * Satisfactory references
