We have an exciting opportunity for a casual relief worker Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Cardiff. In this role, you will support people to build relationships, try new things, and feel part of their community - so that they can live good lives.



You will need to hold a full UK driving license for this role.

About the People we Support

We're looking for active, confident people to join a well established team in the Heath area of Cardiff.



This an opportunity to help and positively impact the lives of two young autistic brothers who are in their late 20s and 30s. Each day you will plan and participate in a busy calendar of activities the two men enjoy, such as cycling, going to the gym, swimming and walks. As a Support Worker you will promote a healthy lifestyle by preparing and sharing well balanced, tasty meals with them, and you will provide them with the active support and structure that they need to thrive. Due to the nature of the support, you will need to have a full UK driving license.



You would be helping motivate them to continue to pursue their busy and active lifestyles, providing them with the active support and structure that they need. We are looking to establish a team that are active, confident and motivated who have an awareness of themselves and situations that may present themselves whilst having the ability to adapt their approach to achieve positive outcomes. You will be able to fully engage with and participate in a busy calendar of activities such as cycling, going to the gym and swimming whilst promoting a healthy balanced lifestyle within the food you prepare and share with the two young men.

Do

As a Support Worker, you will:


Support people to do the things they enjoy, try new experiences, and live good lives. Assist with household tasks, shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and maintaining routines. Encourage and support people to strengthen relationships with family, friends, and their community. Work alongside professionals such as social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure people receive the best support. Listen to the people you support and support them to make choices about their lives.
