Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role requires a patient and empathetic approach, as well as the ability to perform various tasks related to personal care and daily living activities.

Duties

Provide

patient care

to individuals, assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of clients. Assist with

home care

tasks, including light housekeeping and laundry. Support clients with mobility, which may involve

heavy lifting

when necessary. Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment for clients. Administer basic

first aid

as required and ensure the safety of clients at all times. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed. Provide specialised care for individuals with conditions such as

dementia

or those requiring

hospice care

.

Requirements

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Knowledge of

first aid

practices is advantageous. Ability to perform

heavy lifting

safely and effectively. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients. Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for providing care. Understanding of the needs of individuals requiring support, including those with dementia or in hospice care. A caring attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
