Role Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to join our children's residential home. You will provide high-quality, child-centred care in line with Ofsted regulations, the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF), and the Children's Homes National Minimum Standards (NMS).
Key Responsibilities
Provide consistent, safe, and nurturing care to children and young people
Promote safeguarding and ensure children's welfare is always paramount
Support children with daily routines, education, health, and social development
Implement care plans, behaviour support strategies, and risk assessments
Maintain accurate and timely records
Work effectively with colleagues and external professionals
What We're Looking For
Essential:
Experience working with children or young people in a care setting
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Ability to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
Good communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to regulatory standards
Desirable:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards it
Experience supporting children with complex needs
Knowledge of trauma-informed care
Location: Wallington area - Surrey SM6
Salary:
per annum (dependent on experience)
Residential Support Worker (Entry level) 25,000-27,000
Residential Support Worker (Qualified) 28,000-32,000
Residential Support Worker (Senior) 32,000-36,075

Do you have experience working with children in an Ofsted-registered residential children's home.
Do you have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (England) or a recognised predecessor, or completing within 18 months.
Do you have GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths (Grade C/Level 4 or above)
Do you have resilience, empathy, and strong communication skills
Are you able to work shifts including evenings and weekends
Do you have First Aid and Safeguarding training
Do you have an understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic care
