Manor Field is looking to recruit a Support Worker to join their team. This is afull timerole.

Day Shifts: 08:00 - 20:00



12.90 per hour




Manor Field is located in Weldon, Northamptonshire. It offers residential support for five people, who have a primary learning disability diagnosis, who may also be autistic. We are in a semi-rural location, off a main road, and surrounded by lovely views and beautiful countryside. Our team are dedicated to supporting residents to live their best life, within a safe and welcoming home.

What you'll be doing




You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.


Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work.


As a Support Worker, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you'll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.

Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal care Performing light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes Assisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individuals Assistance and support to attend medical appointments Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff Supporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teams Encouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growth

What you'll bring to the role

The ideal candidate:

Due to a genuine occupational requirement, we are looking to recruit workers that hold a Full UK Manual Driving Licence for this particular role.



Qualifications and Skills



Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature Empathy, understanding and patience Ability to work on your own and as part of a team Ability to understand and follow policies and procedure The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges Competent in verbal and written English A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential
