We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, home health, and community care environments. Duties
Assist residents and clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition; report changes to healthcare professionals
Administer medications following prescribed care plans and HIPAA regulations
Support with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition for residents with special dietary needs
Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or developmental disabilities
Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safety during transfers
Maintain cleanliness of living spaces by performing light cleaning duties in accordance with health standards
Follow care plans meticulously while maintaining confidentiality and respecting residents' privacy
Support with transportation to medical appointments or community activities when necessary
Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations
Experience
Candidates should ideally have prior experience in healthcare or social services environments such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice care, or home & community care. Experience working with individuals with disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or developmental disorders is highly valued. Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred. Knowledge of medication administration, patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, and HIPAA compliance is essential. Prior experience with caregiving tasks such as meal preparation, assisting with ADLs, using Hoyer lifts, and working within care plans will be advantageous. A background in social work or long-term care settings is also beneficial. The role requires patience, empathy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team dedicated to providing compassionate support.
