Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Support Workers to join our large team in one of our supported living services in Darlington. We are advertising for a 30hr Support Worker who must be able to work sleep in shifts.As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will be working with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs.From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you'll play a vital role in their life.Activities required in the service are:Assist to the bathroom;Assist to get dressed and complete passive movement exercises;Staff assist service users into their wheelchairs, ensuring they are comfortable;Support to do weekly shopping;Staff to support on outings in the car.What we're looking for:xc2xb7 A genuine passion for supporting others.xc2xb7 Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.xc2xb7 Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.xc2xb7 A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.Contract options:xc2xb7 Part-time: 30hrsAll our services are 24hr care.
