Job Overview



We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various care settings, including assisted living, memory care, and home & community care environments. The Support Worker plays a vital role in supporting residents' daily needs, ensuring their safety, and promoting their well-being. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and specialized care needs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diverse populations, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or other health conditions. All positions are paid and require a commitment to providing respectful and person-centered care.

Responsibilities



Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor residents' health status by observing vital signs and overall condition Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA guidelines Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and nutrition management Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance quality of life Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts as needed Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation practices Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards Follow established care plans tailored to individual needs, including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, or autism support Support residents during outings or community activities to promote engagement and independence Respond promptly to emergencies with appropriate first aid or CPR if required

Qualifications



Previous experience in group home settings, assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care preferred Knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and care planning Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are advantageous Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care needs, or autism is highly desirable Ability to lift heavy loads safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; physical stamina for long shifts required Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience for working with vulnerable populations Ability to work independently as well as part of a team committed to providing exceptional resident care Flexibility to work various shifts including days or evenings; adherence to safety protocols is essential
