We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing assistance and support to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. This position requires a blend of practical skills and interpersonal abilities, making it essential for the Support Worker to be both empathetic and resourceful.
Key Responsibilities of the Support Worker will be:
Provide compassionate and practical support at our Supported Living service located in Coalville.
Assist residents with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and household duties.
Facilitate and accompany residents to external activities to Day Centres, Shopping trips, Social Outings (e.g. theatre visits, community events)
Promote independence and well-being through respectful and person-centred care.
Ensure safe and reliable transportation for residents to and from activities.
Work collaboratively with other staff and external partners to enhance the quality of life for residents.
Ideal Support Worker should have:
Previous experience as a Support Worker or in a similar role is preferred.
Valid driving licence with experience
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
