Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management. Implement and adhere to individual care plans tailored to each client's needs. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour. Support clients in social and recreational activities to promote engagement and well-being. Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes as needed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to follow care plans meticulously and adapt to changing client needs. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life. Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication are beneficial.
