If you're looking for a job where every day feels the same, this isn't it.
At
Azalea Care and Education
, we support children and young people with additional needs and behaviours that challenge, to grow, connect, and thrive. That means getting out into the community, building trust, creating structure, and finding moments of joy (sometimes through a bit of silliness).
Our team is made up of confident, caring people who know how to stay calm under pressure and bring warmth and humour to even the toughest days.
This isn't a role for the faint-hearted, but it's one that will genuinely change lives, including your own.
What You'll Be Doing
No two shifts are the same, but you might find yourself:
Supporting a young person 1:1 or 2:1 in their daily life
Planning fun, meaningful activities that build independence and confidence
Helping someone explore their world safely, from trips to the park to community adventures
De-escalating tricky moments with patience, calm and confidence
Keeping everyone safe, respected, and heard
Following clear support plans and safeguarding practices (you'll be fully trained!)
You'll often be a
lone worker
, so confidence, good judgement, and resilience are key.
Who We're Looking For
We hire people, not robots. If you've got the right attitude, we'll teach you the rest.
You're probably someone who:
Stays calm in chaos and can think on your feet
Can be serious when it matters and silly when it counts
Brings warmth, patience, and common sense to every situation
Understands that support work isn't just care; it's connection
Isn't afraid to sing, dance, or be part of a Nerf gun battle if it helps build trust
Experience helps, but we value the right energy more than a perfect CV.
