Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our family-run care home. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and care to individuals in need, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life. This position requires a proactive approach to support, ensuring that the needs and preferences of those we assist are always prioritised.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to individuals, including assistance with daily living activities such as feeding, making teas and coffees, etc . Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate personnel. Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and aspirations through tailored care plans. Promote a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Foster positive relationships with clients, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.

Requirements

Previous experience in a support or care role is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to empathise with residents' needs. A genuine passion for helping others and enhancing their well-being. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required. A valid driving licence is advantageous for community-based roles. Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required prior to employment.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 9am - 2pm -(25 hours per week).
