This role is based in
Ely
, working in a supported living service providing person-centred support to two brothers. Both brothers have Fragile X Syndrome and traits of Autism which mean they have difficulties understanding the world. One of the brothers is looking for a Support Worker who can get involved in what he enjoys, particularly sports and going to see Cambridge United, and who can be patient, positive and prepared in case the day doesn't go to plan. The other brother loves music, acting and drama activities, and arts and crafts and is looking for a Support Worker who is confident, jovial and understands and supports him with his regular routines. Essentially, this role will be supporting both brothers to live their best lives.

Requirements:
A full UK manual driving licence is essential for this role
Various shift patterns with a requirement for sleep ins and alternate weekends
A nurturing, supportive and patient approach
Strong communication skills, being able to pick up on both verbal and non-verbal cues
New to social care - no problem, as we have excellent internal training for all support staff.

Main responsibilities
To provide person-centred support to the people who use our services.
To follow the support plans of the people we support and any other relevant documentation.
To support all people in line with their individual communication needs.
Assist with daily living activities, which may include meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
Maintain open communication with the people we support, their families and within the staffing team to ensure needs are met effectively.
