Our housing consists of self-contained apartments with access to on-site care and support ensuring residents can maintain their independence and feel safe and secure in the comfort of their own home, with communal facilities on site allows service users the ability to meet with friends or take part in a wide range of social activities from coffee mornings to exercise classes. The aim of our Extra Care facilities is to enable residents to choose the level of care they need from the security and privacy of their own home. Each development is supported by trained, professional care-staff who are on-site 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to deliver care and support when it is needed and is suitable to support people with a wide range of care needs.

About the role:
We are looking for reliable Support Workers to support individuals to lead independent and fulfilling lives in their local community. The role requires someone who thrives on variety, enjoys a challenge, and is highly adaptable, as you may be asked to work from multiple locations, dependent on service need. You will need to be flexible, and confident interacting with people from all walks of life, treating people with compassion and care, showing dignity and respect to the people you support and their families, whilst quickly building a rapport quickly. The service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and you will work on a rota which includes weekends and bank holidays.
Experience and skills required:
Must have experience supporting adults within a social care setting.
Experience of supporting individuals with a learning disability, mental health or an autistic spectrum condition would be preferable.
Ability to develop supportive relationships, promoting independence and wellbeing.
Ability to use a computer and be IT literate.
You will be highly motivated to deliver outstanding care and support.
Have the ability to work in a person-centred way.
A driving licence/use of a car is desirable but not essential
