We are looking for a caring and reliable Support Worker to join a small, dedicated team supporting a young lady with learning disabilities and autism. She lives in her own flat within a structured setting and enjoys life to the full, following a clear daily routine that helps meet her needs.
Your role will involve helping with everyday tasks such as personal care, dressing, cooking, and keeping her home clean and tidy. You will also drive her to activities she loves, including horse riding, the gym, reflexology, shopping, night clubs, and visits to an activity farm. You will assist with medication and keep accurate records, and full training will be provided. Good communication skills are important because you will work to a person-centred support plan and liaise with professionals, family members, and your team.
Although this is a lone-working role, you will have the support of an experienced team and her parents, who play an active role in her life and will help train and guide you.
