We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need, including those in nursing homes and hospice care settings. Duties
Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support clients with meal preparation and ensure nutritional needs are met.
Assist individuals with mobility and heavy lifting as required.
Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with challenging behaviours.
Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in behaviour or condition to nursing staff.
Drive clients to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans.
Provide specialised care for clients with dementia, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
Requirements
Previous experience in a caregiving role, particularly in nursing homes or hospice care, is highly desirable.
A background in nursing or relevant healthcare qualifications would be advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility needs.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
