Are you an enthusiastic *Female Support Worker with an interest in supporting our Client with her education? If so, this is an exciting opportunity for you to consider.

Please note: This role is based term time at our clients school in Forest Hall, Newcastle Upon Tyne, however, additional hours may be available and candidates should be able to offer flexibility to provide cover during school holidays at the clients home in Sunderland

The Client



Our Client is an 18 year old young lady who lives at home with her mother and sister. She has a bubbly and personable character with a great sense of humour and who approaches all of her lessons and activities with enthusiasm, positivity and determination.

Our Client has bilateral cerebral palsy affecting all of her limbs, is not independently mobile and uses a wheelchair to get around and voca to communicate.

Our Client requires help with personal care and due to dysphagia her nutritional needs are met via a gastrostomy.

Our Client is an inspirational young woman who easily forms good relationships on a personal or professional level with her peers, her teaching staff and therapists and is renowned for her caring personality and motivation to succeed.

In her spare time, our Client has an interest in fashion and likes reality TV shows like Love Island. She also likes to go to live shows, going shopping, swimming and browsing on Social Media.

The Role



We are looking for an experienced female Support Worker provide support to our Client with her studies during the school day. This may also include going into the hydrotherapy pool and will certainly include personal care during the school day. Experience of supporting clients with similar complex care needs would be an advantage, however full training will be available.

The successful candidate will be an advocate for our Client, ensuring that she is able to make her own choices and decisions. You should be willing to accept instructions and advice from the Client's family, the teaching staff and also work alongside the Multidisciplinary Team in respect of therapy programmes. You should be a calm and patient individual who has excellent verbal and written communication skills to aid close liaison with the other professionals involved in our Client's day-to-day life and to ensure daily care records are maintained accurately. You will need to be computer literate and should hold a full UK driving licence and access to a car on a daily basis.

Pay: 14.49-15.53 per hour
