Support Worker

- Float Support, Community Based

Full-Time 37hpw

& Part-Time 20hpw - from 12.34 per hour + mileage allowance

Our Float Support team support with people with learning disabilities, neurodiversity and mental health needs who live independently within the Royal Borough. We work closely with our customers, providing support and guidance to help them maintain their tenancies, manage their finances, be part of the community and live healthy lives. Our customers have unique interests, needs and preferences, and we support them to be self-sufficient, achieve their goals and have fun along the way.

covering a mix of mornings, afternoons and weekends.

Your role will be to support our customers in their day-to-day lives and to maintain their tenancies by ensuring homes are kept clean, well maintained and free of risk. You'll support with finances, such as managing income and ensuring bills are paid on time, and help develop skills that will keep our customers living independently. You will also help our customers to get out and about in the community, supporting them to attend work, college, appointments and social activities as needed.

As part of the role, you will provide high quality, person-centred support and there may also be the need to support with care tasks, such as administering medication, personal care and assisting with mobility.

Experience in the care sector would be beneficial but is not necessary as full training is provided, including classroom-based learning, shadowing experienced staff and online sessions.

This is a

community-based role

, meaning you will be travelling across the Royal Borough to support our customers in Maidenhead, Windsor, Ascot and other villages (please refer to the above map for the RBWM boundaries). You will need to have a

valid UK driving licence and your own vehicle

- you will be imbursed travel expenses at 45p per mile.
