We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living, community, and respit environments. Responsibilities
Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
Provide specialised support for individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, ADHD, Challenging Behaviours and Mobility Issues
Support with medication administration in accordance with healthcare plans
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning as required
Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
Manage behaviour effectively through compassionate strategies and patience
Support clients to appointments or social activities when necessary
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to senior staff
Assist with light housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe and clean environment
Respond promptly to emergency situations with appropriate first aid procedures
Skills
Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care environments
Knowledge of patient care techniques, including Learning Disabilities, Autism and Challenging Behaviours
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for client support or mobility aids
Strong caregiving skills with a focus on empathy and patience
Familiarity with medication administration protocols and safety procedures
Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
Valid driving licence for transportation duties if necessary
Competence in basic first aid and emergency response procedures
Ability to handle behavioural challenges with sensitivity and professionalism
Organisation skills for managing multiple clients' needs efficiently
