We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including residential facilities, community homes, and home-based environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those requiring memory care. Duties
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Provide patient observation and monitor vital signs to ensure safety and well-being
Support with medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plans
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning tailored to individual dietary needs
Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning and sanitation tasks
Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to assist with mobility needs
Engage clients in social activities and therapeutic programs to promote mental and emotional health
Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and support teams to develop personalized care plans
Ensure adherence to safety protocols including CPR and First Aid procedures
Requirements
Prior experience working in assisted living, home & community care, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is preferred
Knowledge of patient care techniques including Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, autism spectrum disorder, and hospice care is advantageous
Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable; willingness to obtain these certifications if not already held
Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges
Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and safety assessment
Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and assist with mobility using specialized equipment
Excellent communication skills and compassionate attitude towards clients of all ages and backgrounds
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information
Experience in medication administration and understanding of care plans is a plus
