As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in need of assistance. Duties
Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment.
Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring that all aspects of care are met effectively.
Assist with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when necessary.
Monitor and document client progress, reporting any changes in condition or behaviour to appropriate personnel.
Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Skills
Proficiency in First Aid and CPR is essential.
Experience in Care is required
Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and senior care practices is beneficial.
Familiarity with medication administration protocols and medical terminology is required.
Previous experience in home care or assisted living settings is an advantage.
Strong caregiving skills with the ability to manage patient care effectively required.
Competence in case management and behaviour management techniques is preferred.
A valid driving licence may be necessary for transporting clients as required.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with clients and their families.
