About the role....

Blaydon Lodge is a CQC-registered short break service supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and other neurodivergent conditions. As a Support Worker, you will deliver person-centred care tailored to each individual during their stay. This includes attending to personal care needs and promoting health and wellbeing through meaningful engagement and structured activities.

A commitment to upholding each person's right to choice, dignity, and control over their support is essential.

You will be expected to follow detailed support plans and maintain accurate documentation to ensure safe and compliant service delivery in line with current health and social care legislation.

The role also includes administering medication--including rescue medication--and providing emergency first aid in accordance with each individual's health action plan.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues, service users, families, carers, and other professionals to share knowledge, seek guidance, and coordinate effective support.
