Duties

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

Providing

home care

services to clients in their own residences. Assisting with

senior care

, ensuring the comfort and safety of elderly individuals. Offering

hospice care

support for clients with terminal illnesses, focusing on dignity and quality of life. Delivering

dementia care

, employing patience and understanding to assist clients with cognitive impairments. Preparing nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences through

meal preparation

. Administering medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to medication schedules through

medication administration

. Offering general

patient care

, including assistance with personal hygiene, mobility, and daily living tasks. Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall well-being of clients. Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in client condition to relevant professionals.

Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

Previous experience in

home care

,

senior care

, or related fields is highly desirable. A background in

hospice

or

dementia care

is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping others. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in various situations. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. A caring attitude coupled with the ability to maintain professionalism in all interactions.
