Integrated Case Management are currently recruiting for a support worker to work alongside our client in their own home.
Hours/Shifts available:
Wednesday 12.45pm to Thursday 11.00am (22 hours 15 minutes)
The Successful Candidate:
Should be available to cover the shift above and in addition to cover any annual leave and periods of absence to meet the needs of our client and as part of the support team.
We are able to offer a funded DBS, a competitive salary starting at 15.00 per hour in the week and 16.00 per hour at the weekends depending on experience, fully funded mandatory and specialised training and a pension plan.
The Client:
X lives in Godalming, Surrey. She experienced a brain injury and has an active social life and attends clubs and activities throughout the week. She enjoys being around people and socialising.
The Environment:
X lives alone and this is a relaxed place to work. The house is designed around X and it is a fun culture mixed with the seriousness of managing X's needs. X has a number of different support staff who provide X with a 24 hour care support.
The Role:
X is looking for a Support Worker to join her team to help manage her daily routines and weekly activities.
X is independently mobile and enjoys going for walks. X requires prompts with her activities of daily living and some assistance as required depending on the activity.
You will follow her care plan to provide the support that she requires including exercises and therapy goals.
You will accompany X to attend medical appointments as required as well as outings. You will also be required to assist with our clients' laundry, cleaning of her rooms and equipment.
Full training in all aspects of our client's care will be given and you will be fully supported by her Case Manager and team leader
About You:
You will have excellent communication skills and have experience supporting an Adult with complex needs.
You will be kind, positive, reliable with good timekeeping. Have a sense of humour, be fun, energetic and enthusiastic in the role, and a team player.
You will maintain client confidentiality and build a relationship of trust with our client and his family.
You will have a willingness to participate and follow training modules which are provided as part of the role.
This role requires you to be a driver who can drive our client's automatic vehicle. Therefore, you will have a driver's licence.
