We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals, within their own homes. This position involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being while promoting independence.
Responsibilities
Provide patient care and support to individuals in need, focusing on their physical and emotional well-being.
Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
Assisting with outings and appointments.
Monitor clients' health conditions, reporting any changes to the appropriate personnel.
Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
Offer specialised care for individuals with dementia or other cognitive impairments, employing patience and understanding.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
Skills
Proven experience in patient care or a related field is highly desirable.
Knowledge of senior care practices and the ability to provide compassionate support.
Ability to drive is beneficial for transporting clients as needed.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and team members.
A caring attitude with a genuine interest in improving the lives of others.
