We provide support and care to children, families and adults across Kent, East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove, Surrey and the London Borough of Bexley. Our services include registered care homes; supported living; community outreach; day services, including pathways to employment; children and young people's groups and support; specialist support; and free online support for families and carers across the South-East.

Pilot Road
is a new Supported Living service the houses 4 individuals. It has been tailored to the needs of the individuals who live there and is autism specific. All our residents are encouraged to actively participate at the resource centre in Battle or the Roebuck Centre in Hastings. A person-centred approach is paramount to provide an individualised programme of activity and variety of choice, such as, horse riding, swimming, computer skills, catering, cycling, living skills, drama and creative arts is available. This is supported by the same communication systems mentioned earlier to ensure consistency.
Similar activities are carried out at home and everyone is encouraged to carry out independent living skills. These are incorporated in their daily schedules. Additional activities include aromatherapy and massage, personal music sessions and visits by other caring professionals such as chiropodists. Weekend activities include trips to the local beaches, parks, places of historical interest, pub lunches and identified interests. All the residents living at Pilot Road have active involvement and are encouraged to have as much involvement as possible toward the input in the day to day running, choices and plans for the future where possible, alongside regular input from their families and parents who visit or contact regularly.
About the role:
This is a unique opportunity for a Support worker who would relish the opportunity for career development.
Support Worker roles at Aspens are varied and include both team-based and lone working. Responsibilities include personal care, medication administration, nutrition, attending appointments, shopping, laundry, cooking, finances, and supporting social activities. Support Workers also complete documentation such as observation sheets, incident forms, and daily notes while implementing care plans under supervision.
You will work closely with service users, their families, and professionals to ensure high standards of care, emotional support, and wellbeing. Aspens offers flexible working hours, full training, and ongoing support for your development.
You will be provided with full training and support in order to make a success of the role.
