Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in various settings, including senior care, assisted living, and home care environments. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily activities.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support clients with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met. Assist with medication management and ensure compliance with prescribed treatments. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to support clients effectively. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to appropriate personnel. Foster a safe and supportive environment for all clients while respecting their dignity and privacy.

Qualifications

Previous experience in senior care, patient care, or home care is highly desirable. Knowledge of nursing home practices and assisted living environments is an advantage. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
