Responsibilities

Assist with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support Provide patient care in accordance with individual care plans, including medication administration and meal preparation Support individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments through behaviour management and specialised care techniques Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment Drive clients to appointments or social activities when required Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being Support families by providing guidance on care routines and behavioural strategies

Qualifications

Experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is highly desirable Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care practices Certification or training in first aid and medication administration is advantageous Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when required Excellent communication skills and a caring attitude Valid driving licence preferred for driving responsibilities Childcare experience is a plus for supporting young clients or family members Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; a commitment to providing consistent support is essential
