We are a new agency called Empathy Health LTD
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of care, ensuring their comfort and well-being in various settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private residences. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care while fostering a supportive environment for clients with diverse needs, including those with Alzheimer's and dementia.

Duties



Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Assist with meal preparation and ensure that dietary needs are met. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition. Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients with challenging behaviours. Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment. Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or activities. Support clients with heavy lifting as needed, ensuring proper techniques are used for safety. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or manager.

Qualifications



Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings is highly desirable. You will need to be registered with Social Care Wales or willing to apply Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and senior care practices is an advantage. Certification in first aid is preferred; training may be provided for the right candidate. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and assist clients with mobility challenges. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.00-26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 48 per week
