Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing care and assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage various behaviours with empathy and professionalism.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to clients in their own home or care home settings. Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and meal preparation. Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional. Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Engage clients in social activities to promote emotional well-being and companionship. Drive clients to appointments or social outings as needed.

Requirements

Previous experience in patient care, or a similar role is preferred. Training in Care certificate or NVQ level 2 preferred but training will be provided. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. A valid driving licence is essential for visiting clients. A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others.
