Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Support Worker to join our team.



Full or part-time vacancies available, work between 4-14 hours per day



Shift Patterns: Flexible working hours, alternate weekends, no night shifts.



13.20per hour




The Lodge provides support for people with mental illnesses, learning disabilities and autism. We specialise in supporting people with Asperger Syndrome, complex needs and challenging behaviour. We are on a busy street, very close to the town centre, local amenities and public transport links. Our team are dedicated to ensuring the people we care for are supported to live their best life, meeting their desired outcomes and goals.


The Lodge is located in Highbridge, Somerset with transport links from Taunton and Burnham-on-Sea. The home offers residential support for 12 males and females who are autistic or have mental health needs. We are on a busy street, very close to the town centre, local amenities and public transport links.

As a

Support Worker

, you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of our residents and tenants. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you'll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.

Encouraging people to live as independently as possible, while supporting them in building their life skills and achieving goals at their own pace Supporting tenants in a person centred way, which can include assisting with personal care, participation in activities and support with daily living skills, including maintenance of their tenancy Complete daily administration of electronic and paper records with the involvement of the individual as appropriate Supporting the individual in maintaining their health and wellbeing, which may involve liaising with other specialists Supporting and encouraging the individual's participation and integration in the local community through activities and interests that meet their ambitions and help them achieve outcomes in their chosen way Embedding the REACH standards in everyday practice Following company policies and procedures

Qualifications and Skills



Excellent interpersonal skills and resilience Demonstrating initiative and the ability to work in a person centred way Ability to work alongside people to develop their potential and skills Empathy, understanding and patience Ability to work on your own and as part of a team Competent in verbal and written English A social care qualification is desirable, but not essential
