Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires a proactive approach to assisting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and enhancing their quality of life.

Duties

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences. Assist with medication management, ensuring clients adhere to prescribed treatments. Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment for clients. Support clients in social activities and community engagement to promote social inclusion. Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate professionals. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses and therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Drive clients to appointments or social outings as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.

Experience

Previous experience in a caregiving role is preferred, particularly in settings such as assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care. Skills in childcare or experience working with children would be advantageous. Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial for ensuring client safety. A valid driving licence is required for transporting clients as part of their care plan. A caring attitude combined with strong communication skills is essential for building rapport with clients and their families.
