We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The Support Worker will be responsible for various tasks that promote independence, life skills and enhance the quality of life for those they assist.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities.
Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met.
Support clients in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in social and recreational activities.
Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Aid clients with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safety at all times.
Monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to appropriate healthcare professionals.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and any significant observations during shifts.
Skills
Proven experience in care settings such as assisted living, home care, or previous day service experience is necessary.
Knowledge of first aid procedures is essential for ensuring client safety, otherwise full training is provided along with 50+ other courses.
Experience in adult care is an advantage.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently, if necessary.
A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
Flexibility in working hours to accommodate client needs.
A full and clean drivers license of 2+ years.
A right to work in the UK.
