The Vacancy


We are Quarriers, Glasgow East Dunbartonshire Service We are a Supported Living Service providing care and support for adults with learning disabilities and people with more complex brain injuries. We are currently seeking to recruit new Support Workers to join Hawthorn Cottage.



Your new opportunity




Hawthorn Cottage is situated in the

Lenzie area of Kirkintilloch

, where we support

3 men and 1 woman

within the service. Staff provide

24/7 support

to all 4 individuals, assisting with their everyday living needs.


Rotas are completed

4 to 6 weeks in advance

and are flexible to meet the needs of the service. Staff will

shadow for a minimum of 2 weeks

, depending on experience.


Your daily duties may include supporting people with personal care needs and household chores, as well as enabling them to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support their health and wellbeing such as watching the footie, drama, musical evenings, gardening at the allotment, shopping & banking trips, and social occasions.


Please note we manage shifts on a rotational basis where staff work a variety of shifts to meet the needs of the people we support, which will include weekends. Sleepover shifts are paid at an extra hourly rate and can offer additional earning potential.

What you will need to bring to the role
