We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including residential homes, nursing facilities, and community-based environments. The role involves supporting clients with daily activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their wellbeing. Prior experience in assisted living, senior care, or dementia care is highly desirable. Duties
Assist clients with personal care routines such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Support with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
Administer medication in accordance with prescribed instructions and record keeping
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements
Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental wellbeing
Assist with household tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe environment
Manage behaviour effectively, especially in clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
Drive clients to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safety at all times
Monitor health status and report any concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
Support clients with activities of daily living to foster independence and confidence
Requirements
Experience in assisted living, nursing home care, hospice care or home care is preferred
Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's care, and behaviour management techniques
First aid certification is advantageous but not essential; training can be provided
Valid driving licence for transporting clients safely
Excellent communication skills and compassionate nature
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physically demanding tasks
Basic cooking skills for meal preparation tailored to individual needs
Flexibility to work shifts that may include mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
Reliable and organised with a strong sense of responsibility towards client wellbeing
